West Sussex

West Sussex is brimming with great restaurants and charming eateries. Venues in West Sussex are understandably proud of their coastal heritage and seafood, which is some of the freshest and tastiest in Britain. With Michelin starred favourites like The Pass.

and Ockenden Manor, you’re never short of opportunities for top quality dining. There are also masses of cosy, traditional pubs just made for you to sit back and relax with a pint, like The Elsted Inn in Midhurst.

For a fantastic family day out, why not head to Kingley Vale for a wonderful woodland walk? Pack up a picnic full of delicious local produce and enjoy the superb views and wildlife. If castles are more up your alley, West Sussex has plenty to choose from, including the stunning Arundel Castle, home to the Duke of Norfolk. The village of Arundel is a picture perfect, quintessentially British spot, with attractive hilly streets lined with Victorian and Georgian houses. Amberley Castle makes a wonderful choice for a luxurious and memorable overnight stay.

The 900 year old Chichester Cathedral offers an alternative for a day trip in the area. The architecture has fascinating features from each century of its existence, and entry is free every day. You could also visit the wonderful Pallant House Gallery. Housed in a Georgian house, this art gallery is popular amongst locals and tourists alike.
