You've missed this event
With over 34,000 visitors in attendance every year, the Westmorland County Show is one of the largest one-day shows in the country, has been running since 1799 (that’s 217 annual shows!), and is back again this September for number 218. But if the statistics don’t do anything for you, I’ll let the line up do the talking.
Westmorland boasts the largest food hall stocking fresh produce in the northwest of England, including artisan stalls from traders promoting their quality products, plenty of special demonstrations, and an impressive host of celebrity chefs. All stalls are required to source and prepare their food from within Cumbria, so the show is truly a celebration of Cumbria’s agriculture and heritage, and many stalls will be keen for you to try their products so make sure to take advantage of all the free samples!
As well as the many varieties of livestock and farm animals on show, from cattle to poultry and dogs to alpacas, over 350 trade stands and marquees for all kinds of local businesses and organisations will be vying for your business, as well as an excellent display from the Cumbria and Westmorland Wrestling Association to keep you entertained.
