You've missed this event

As the undisputed epicentre of the UK’s foodie world, London is bound to have a festival or two up its sleeve again this summer. Where better than one of the capital’s Royal Parks to hold the queen bee of the food festival phenomenon, Taste of London? Giving attendees a condensed glimpse into one of the world’s most diverse and exciting food scenes, Taste of London will blow your epicurious socks off with its jammed-packed programme of events, demonstrations, talks, chances to eat, chances to learn and opportunities to shake hands with some very, very big names. In typical London style, the celebrity guest list is an impressive one, with live demonstrations in the Electrolux Taste Theatre from the cream of the restaurant word. Tom Kerridge, Michel Roux Jnr, Monica Galetti, Massimo Bottura and René Redzepi, among others, will all grace the stage, revealing top tips and kitchen secrets. The celeb spotting doesn’t stop there, with Valentine Warner showing you how to sharpen your knife skills in one of the Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets Masterclasses in the Cook Skills Theatre. World-famous Japanese restaurant, Inamo, will lead the way with sushi masterclasses, while Gizzi Erskine will make her debut hosting Korean masterclasses. But of course, it’s not about faces; it’s about food, and 40 of London’s hottest restaurants will be offering up tapas-style tastings galore, so you can take your palate on a tour that takes in Le Gavroche, Sushisamba, Duck & Waffle, House of Ho, Meatliquor, Roka, Shake Shack, L’Anima, Tamarind and Salt Yard, plus many more. Further chances to eat and buy come from the finest food and drink producers. Due to the popularity of last year’s event, a new session has been added to the programme this time, with Wednesday evening now in the mix. Grab your obligatory glass of Champers, don your trendiest frock and stylish sun hat and quaff your way around Regent’s Park this June.
