Friday October 13 2017to Sunday October 15 2017
You've missed this event
You won’t find a festival with a more diverse selection of delicious dishes in South Derbyshire this October than in Swadlincote. The Festival of International Food, Drink & Crafts will be returning for it's third annual edition, and promises to be a vibrant celebration of all things edible and arty.
From noodles to paella, churros to crepes, coffee cheese and olives to oranges, curries to cakes, there will be something for everyone no matter what flavours they favour. There will be cooking demonstrations too, inspiring visitors to buy fresh ingredients from the festival and create a fabulous new dish at home. It’s not all about what you can put on your plate though, if you head to the Continental bar you’ll find all sorts of weird and wonderful cocktails, juices and teas to try.
Besides pleasing your palate, make sure to take advantage of the craft stalls, which will be an ideal place to grab yourself a bargain and a few early Christmas presents too. Specialising in jewellery, clothing and artwork, you’re sure to find some gifts and stocking fillers here.
Celebrity chef James Strawbridge will be inspiring attendees with delicious recipes, there will be cooking demonstrations on how to waste less and save more, and South Derbyshire Community Drummers will be on-site too, bringing some rhythm to the day.
So, visit Swadlincote and experience a tremendous weekend of sensational flavours and perhaps a spot of shopping.
