You've missed this event
Let your imagination run wild at the Solihull Fairtrade Cake Off!
Enter your fabulous cake and compete for great prizes, while raising awareness of Fairtrade.
There'll be plenty to see and do whether you're entering the competition or not! Come and spectate - plenty of stalls and demonstrations will be waiting to inspire you and tempt your tastebuds.
The aim is to bake the most creative cake using at least TWO fairtrade ingredients. You'll be competing for top prizes - 2016 prizes were: afternoon tea for two at Hampton Manor, afternoon tea at Hogarths, afternoon tea with the Mayor in the Palour, tickets to Birmingham Food Festival, and Gastrocards!
You'll be judged on your ability to use Fairtrade imaginatively - you don't need to be a fantastic baker (but it helps)! Everyone is welcome to join this huge celebration of sweet treats and fair trade food - both adults and children. This year, special guest Amari - winner of the 2015 CBBC Bake Off - will be joining the event on the side of the junior comeptitors!
Cake drop off between 11am and 12noon. Judging will be between 12noon and 1pm with the prize ceremony starting at 1:30pm.
