The popular Living Heritage Nottingham Food & Drink Festival is back for a fourth year at the stunning Wollaton Hall. Last year it was billed as an inspirational event, and so it turned out with thousands of visitors enjoying the food experience over a glorious summer weekend. This year's festival promises just the same!
One of the highlights of the festival is the Food Theatre stage, and this year there’s another impressive line-up of chefs. On Saturday Theo Randall, Edd Kimber and The Craft Beer Boys take centre stage, whilst on the Sunday it’s the turn of Matt Tebbutt, Chantelle Nicholson and The Craft Beer Boys again. They will be ably supported by chefs appearing on the roadshow stage, including seafood specialists The Crabstock Boys, Adrian Bartlet and Andy Hunting, award-winning butcher Johnny Pusztai and local guest chefs.
Making a welcome return in 2017 is the Fruit de Mer restaurant which will offer you the opportunity to dine in the Crabstock Festivals Seafood & Shellfish pop-up restaurant, where a fantastic Tastes of the Sea platter will be served up. You may also know this lovely dish as Fruits de Mer. Places are limited to 45 per day and cost £49.95 per person.
Moving around the Festival we come to the Piazza, that fabulous area where you can go to eat and relax and listen to live music on the music stage before taking in the rest of the event: food halls, real ale marquee with a variety of beers from local breweries, wine tasting, Bushtucker Trials, craft corner - including our ever popular chainsaw carvers, children’s entertainment and workshops.
The festival brings to Nottingham a touch of summertime, al fresco dining, master chefs, artisanal food and drink, music, fun and laughter. Go along to enjoy yourselves, eat drink and be merry.
