Head to the quaint town of Nelson in Lancashire this September for a fantastic day of food and drink. This year will mark the third edition of this annual event, and it promises to bring just as much fun to the town as ever before. Sitting outside the Shuttle Monument will be the worldwide food market, which promises to be a have a plethora of locally sourced tasty wares, plus a selection of Continental treats.
Those looking to pick up some new tricks will be delighted to hear that celebrity chef Richard Fox will also be in attendance and taking to the cookery stage. Local chef Gill Watson will also be making an appearance, informing visitors about food waste.
The Nelson Food Festival promises fun for the whole family, thanks to the free face painting, henna art stalls and the cake decorating competition. Entertainment comes in the form of Punjabi Roots Academy.
