Nailsea & Backwell Beer Festival
Friday July 13 2018to Sunday July 15 2018
You've missed this event
Take a short sojourn from the centre of Bristol and you’ll discover neighbouring Backwell and Nailsea. A village and town respectively, these Somerset communities join together every summer in celebration of those oh so West Country favourites: ale and cider.
The setting for the Nailsea and Backwell Beer and Cider festival 2018 is to be the local rugby pitch. Here, a 150ft marquee housing 80 different beers from all parts of the UK and 90 different ciders, mainly from the West Country, will be erected as a place to worship all that is good in the world of ale and cider. For those for whom a liquid lunch, or indeed dinner, just isn’t enough there will be a number of tasty temptations to help you along the way: choose from hog roasts, burgers and hot dogs. A Pimm's and wine tent will provide alternative refreshment, but tea and coffee will also be served to those who simply can't hack the pace. A selection of bands will take to the stage throughout Saturday and Sunday to keep your toes a-tapping. For younger revellers the children’s village, complete with stalls, bouncy castles, a climbing wall, face painting, ice cream and lots of other things that keep children entertained, will be available, proving that, despite its main focus, this is a festival for the whole family.
