You've missed this event
Unlike many food festivals which take place in one limited location, the Manchester Food & Drink Festival is a sprawling event that spans eleven days. Astonishingly celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017, the festival covers much of Manchester’s city centre, as well as many areas of the Greater Manchester region. As always there will be a vast programme of events for all weathers, both indoor and outdoor, which reflect the modern and original culture of the city of Manchester. On the menu for this year will be a long list of live music acts performing at the Festival Hub on Albert Square in Manchester city centre, a street food festival celebrating all the fresh, authentic world foods that Manchester has to offer and cookery masterclasses from top local and celebrity chefs. In the past the festival has attracted a whole host of big name celebrity chefs like Nadiya Hussain, Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Gordon Ramsay and the Rolling Stones’ Bill Wyman. The Festival culminates with the legendary Manchester Food and Drink Festival Gala Dinner and Awards, where the most prestigious food and drink awards in the city are announced. In this anniversary year, the event is due to be bigger and better than ever.
