You've missed this event
Lymington Seafood Festival is a new not-for-profit event that will be taking place on 12th and 13th August. The festival is a celebration of Lymington and the New Forest's rich cultural heritage, local produce and links to the sea, and will be set against the backdrop of the Lymington Marina's and estuary. The event will be working with a new charity each year, and for the inaugural event, the team is raising money for the Blue Marine Foundation's Solent Oyster Project. By 2020 BLUE plans to restore the native oyster to the Solent, which has far reaching consequences for the marine ecosystem and will also re-establish an important part of the fishing economy.
There'll be live music, fun activities to keep little ones entertained, and pop-up bars and restaurants including Ringwood Brewery and Dancing Cows gin. Over 60 stands will provide guests with plenty of delicious fare and drink. The event is set to be a winner, so make sure you go and see what it's all about.
