You've missed this event
One of the biggest and best food festivals in the North West returns for it's special 10th anniversary with a beautiful Grade I historic park as its backdrop. Liverpool Food and Drink festival will welcome foodies and families from far and wide to Sefton Park and it’s 235 acres of pure bliss! Amongst the dome conservatory, gothic drinking fountains, lake, waterfalls and the iconic bandstand – you'll find tons of food stalls, fun activites and live music for one weekend only.
One of the most exciting activities will be the celebrity chef demonstrations, which this year will be led by Channel 4's Simon Rimmer. He'll be hosting a 'culinary feast' featuring a trio of Merseyside TV Chefs, after which the audience will be served a scrumptious meal which showcases some of the dishes demonstrated. There's no better place to pick up the best cooking tips and taste the delicious results!
Meanwhile you can let the kids roam in their very on children's village full of activities from cake decorating to arts and crafts. If they're well behaved you might even want to take them to the wonderful chocolate corner. With master chocolatiers selling all manner of sugary treats from chocolate covered fruit to truffles and churros; you'll be feeling sweet in no time.
Especially for 2017, there will be a 10th anniversary party hosted by celeb chef Gizzi Erskine and featuring a performance from the Lightning Seeds! This event will take place in Selfton Park, under a hugve marquee with candle lit tables and haning festoon lighting. Think fire pits and coziness for this one-of-a-kind event!
Over the weekend there will be a wonderful selection of food on offer as some of Liverpool's most delicious restaurants will be coming to festival. Look out for the authentic Thai dishes of Chaophyra and the huge servings from the very addictive American Pizza Slice restaurant! There will be a wide variety of drinks to accompany your feast including lagers from Dead Crafty Beer, Brother's Cider, American Whiskey's from Bourbon Brothers and cocktails from Red Door and Rookwood, to name but a few.
After some indulgence, head to the Good Life area where you'll find this year's sponsors, Liverpool John Moores University, who will show you how to create delicious and nutritious meals out of food that you potentially may have thrown away. You can also find a variety of healthy, vegan and free from foods here to snack on. There's so much more to discover in the Good Life area and the festival itself - so start planning the weekend and get ready to spend a wonderful few days in Sefton Park!
Disabled toilets and parking. The festival in the middle of the park so the ground is uneven and the conditions for wheelchairs is very weather dependent.
