You won’t find a festival more committed to bringing you the finest local and farmhouse produce than Horsham Food and Drink Festival – and the best part is it goes on for a whole month!
Set in the rural idyll of the Sussex countryside, the 14th instalment of this annual foodie event will kick off in the town centre with The Big Nibble. These first two days will be jam-packed with cookery demonstrations performed by the region’s most knowledgeable chefs. Here you will discover some fantastic recipes and dishes that have been expertly created in order to get a real burst of flavours out of Horsham’s delicious food. If you fancy yourself a bit of a baker then this is the perfect opportunity to enter into the local bake off for a chance to be crowned the cake king or queen. Otherwise why not amble down to the beer trail and spend the afternoon sampling some refreshing pints from the breweries of Sussex.
Besides The Big Nibble, the rest of the month you can look forward to fabulous farmer’s markets, interactive shows, children’s activities and a whole host of other exciting events all celebrating the diversity and quantity of the regions local produce. Restaurants will also be running special offers to tempt you in for an indulgent lunch or dinner. For a real taste of Horsham make sure you look out for the Sussex breakfast logo. These establishments use at least 60% of local ingredients in their dishes, so you can guarantee that your breakfast is the freshest, most environmentally friendly and ethically produced from field to fork just for you.
The nearby Steyning Food and Drink Festival also coincides with Horsham’s therefore a visit to West Sussex will spoil you with wonderful food and drink producers across two festivals not to mention views of the wonderful countryside.
