Pioneered by renowned chef Mark Hix, this foodie finale to the holiday season will be packed full of feasts. On a mission to promote sustainable fishin', Mark Hix has pulled together a myriad of coastal food, sea-front fun and unique one off events for a wide-ranging weekend offering something different. His "HIX Academy cook-off" will achieve just that by pitting students against one another live on stage to create a fabulous dish from Mark's selected seasonal ingredients.
The festival will bring together top chefs, exhibitors, locals and those who are simply visiting the town. The main stage will showcase a diverse mix of interactive cookery demonstrations, talks and tastings all weekend.
Recognising a local causes, Food Rocks will raise money for the RNLI, Blue Marine foundation, Fisherman's Mission and Blue Marine Foundation, meaning there's even more reason to make it down to Dorset. Leave having seen the seaside, learnt how to forage for fresh produce and having discovered a wealth of culinary delights.
