You've missed this event
The picturesque fishing town of Brixham is usually a hive of activity, with trawlers and yachts bobbing along in the harbour and holidaymakers and locals browsing the shops, and it is set to get even busier for a day in September when the Fishstock Brixham comes to town. This celebration of all things seafood is a dream for fish fans – visitors can, of course, expect fresh fish and seafood galore, along with cookery lessons and demonstrations. There will also be a whole host of informative marine-related things to see, including maritime heritage and archaeology exhibits and marine ecology and pollution awareness displays. Works by maritime artists will be on show too. As if all that wasn’t enough, there will be entertainment as well in the form of live bands, dancers, street performers. There’s also plenty here for the little ones – they’ll love leaping around on the bouncy castle, and the children’s entertainers will keep them amused while you tuck into some delicious fare with a tipple from the licensed bar. Fishstock Brixham is also a fund-raising event exclusively to benefit the Fishermen’s Mission.
