Filey Food and Drink Festival
Thursday October 12 2017to Friday October 13 2017
A gem of a town on the North East coast, the beautiful area of Filey, will be hosting its second food festival of the year. It continues to draw hundreds of visitors to its famous bay and that’s exactly where the food festival is located. So you can enjoy sumptuous Yorkshire delicacies whilst also enjoying the natural surroundings.
Located nearby the Yorkshire Moors, you can expect their farmers markets to be some of the best and certainly there will be some mouth watering hog roasts, cheeses and local honey to indulge in. One of the biggest attractions will be the live cookery demonstrations performed by some of the region’s top chefs. The previous summer food festival included the likes of Great British Menu winner Andrew Pern and Dan Hargreaves, head chef at The Stephen Joseph Theatre Bistro in Scarborough.
It will be a wonderful two day festival jam-packed with everything from pates to pies, oils to ales, jerk chicken to marshmallows and artisan breads to Russian cuisine. For those with a sweet tooth there will also be award winning puddings on offer.
Filey Food and Drink Festival will be an exciting October’s weekend, ideal for an autumn getaway or a day out with family and friends.
